Henkel ups forecast on back of ‘very good’ business performance

THE WHAT? Henkel has announced that, based on the ‘very good’ business performance in the year to date, it is raising the outlook for the current financial year. Organic sales growth is now expected to be between 2.5 percent and 4.5 percent (up from the previous 2 to 4 percent range).

THE DETAILS The Consumer Brands unit is expected to grow in the range of 3 to 5 percent whole Adhesive Technologies will put on a more modest 2 to 4 percent.

Henkel is predicting an Adjusted return on sales of 13 to 14 percent, up from its previous forecast of 12 to 13.5 percent.  

THE WHY? Carsten Knobel, CEO of Henkel, reveals, “The very good start to the year and today’s increase in the full-year outlook demonstrate very clearly that we are on the right track with our growth agenda. We have always pointed out that we want to deliver. And that is what we are doing. The changes initiated in both business units are showing clear results.”
