Godrej Q4 ‘24: strong performance despite challenging conditions

THE WHAT? Godrej has reported its results for the final quarter of the 2024 financial year. The Indian consumer goods giant saw consolidated EBITDA rise 18 percent versus the same period in the prior year.

THE DETAILS Sales rose 12 percent to ₹2,007 crore, with volume up 15 percent. Breaking that down by division, Home Care put on 6 percent while Personal Care grew 4 percent on the back of volume-led growth.

THE WHY? Sudhir Sitapati, Managing Director and CEO, explains, “We delivered a strong performance for all four quarters in FY 2024, despite challenging conditions across markets. Our consolidated organic volumes for Q4FY24 grew by 9 percent, led by the India business growing volumes at 7 percent and Indonesia growing volumes at 12 percent. This led to strong full-year organic volume growth delivery at 7 percent for our consolidated business, 6 percent for India and 11 percent for Indonesia. Our consolidated reported revenue growth for Q4 and FY2024 both stood at 6 percent.”
