Suntegrity recalls Sunscreen Foundation over high mold count

THE WHAT? Suntegrity Skincare has voluntarily recalled certain lots of its Impeccable Skin Sunscreen Foundation after some tubes were found to contain ‘a higher than acceptable microbiological mold count’.

THE DETAILS According to a report published by USA Today, the FDA issued a recall announcement on June 12, revealing that certain lots were contaminated with aspergillus sydowii. No adverse event reports have been received to date.

THE WHY? The FDA revealed, per USA Today, that the mold had been revealed in a recent test having developed ‘post release’.
