What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent Makeup is an art of applying pigment with sterile hypoallergenic cosmetic pigments and are placed under the dermal layer of the skin using single use sterile individual disposable needles. Topical anesthetics are used to make your experience comfortable and pleasant. Clients say the procedure actually tickles.

Is it really permanent? Yes, But a touch up may be required, I use only the finest permanent makeup products/pigments and they will soften/fade in color over time....typically 1-5 yrs, therefore you may need a touch up to enhance and brighten the color. The natural elements, anti-aging creams, sun exposure, sweating, tanning beds and just age of the permanent makeup, without question, will fade in time, I make the example of your patio furniture that fades from the sun, so will your permanent makeup. I recommend to get color touch-ups to freshen up the Permanent Makeup to maintain its natural look every few years.

THE NEW 3 D BROW ENHANCEMENT!-Microblade

3 D eyebrow enhancement is a revolutionary technique and tool that creates a natural, feathery hair stroke permanent eyebrow. This new innovative technique creates 3-D brows rather then the typical solid brow you get with eyebrow tattooing. This look is much more natural and painless.

A new method where fine strokes are penetrated into the skin for a hair-like finish. The appearance is completely natural and blends with or without hair along the brow bone. New nano-technology is used in the pigments which allows the colors to stay in place regardless of how thin or light the strokes are applied.

3 D only penetrates the very top layer of the skin so there is no need for a tattoo machine or loud vibrating needles, a metal hand tool is used. The tool is placed on the surface of the skin and gently moved forward and up to flow pigment into the skin – various lining and shading techniques are used & natural shades are easily achieved. Within a week of your first treatment the color will fade and over the next four weeks can continue to heal. Four weeks later and you can decide if you would like us to go over the brows again for more definition to last 1-5 years at this point… It’s totally up to you! If a touch up is needed you can contact us for a follow up procedure.

The procedure is virtually painless and has been compared to the sensation of eyebrow plucking but not as severe as eyebrow threading. While undergoing the procedure, anesthetic is continually applied to decrease any pain or discomfort. The side effects are simply a little redness around the skin area which fades away in a matter of hours and can easily be camouflaged with make-up.

We analyze the shape of the face and measure the spaces for the center, arch and end of the brow before we start the procedure. There are six recognized face shapes – Round, Heart, Long, Oval, Square and Diamond. The perfect brow for your face will be drawn on for you to scrutinize carefully. Adjustments will be continually made until we are sure that you are 100% happy with the shape we design for you. After the first artful strokes are applied your opinion is once again sought. If you are unhappy whatsoever with the outcome you need not worry. We will do our best to make the brow light and feathery just like a real brow. You will walk away in awe of how natural and flowing they look. This is a must for a natural, finished look!

What is the recovery/healing time?

Healing time varies from person to person. You will be a little swollen and red but with proper topical anesthetics & numbing, swelling will be very minimal, there may be small areas of bleeding depending on if there are any capillaries involved with the procedures. Vaseline is recommended for the aftercare and I send you home with written recommendations. The Vaseline should be applied very thinly. If too much Vaseline is applied to the eyes, it will irritate your eyes. The treated area will begin to soften/lighten up within 3-30 days depending on if you had eyeliner, eyebrows or lip procedure. It is recommended to have your touch-up appointment any time 2-6 months following your original procedure.

Where can permanent makeup be applied? Permanent makeup can be applied as an eyeliner, eyebrow, lipliner or lip color. It can also be used for a mole or for camoflauge for scars. Areola coloration for mastectomy patients can also be applied.

Eyeliner can be as subtle as what I call a natural eyelash enhancement to a bold and artistic look in the soft mucus area and corner of the eye. We will draw this on prior to your procedure to make sure you like the placement of the color. Eyeliner will make your face look finished even when you don't want to apply any other makeup or you love the beach!

Eyebrows can be achieved three different ways, apply the hair stroke technique where the color actually looks like hair strokes (3d eyebrow), there is the hair stroke and shading technique where you have both the hair stroke with shading in the back ground and we can have two different colors for dimension. Also the shading technique alone is also pretty as it a finished look. We will draw on the brow prior to the procedure to make sure the placement is where you like it. You will love the brow procedure as it can lift the look of drooping brows and sparse brows.

Lip Liner and Lip color can be as subtle as a baby pink to a dark finished look. The lips look amazing when they are healed. It may take up to six weeks to see the full color as it heals in the skin. Again, we will draw on the outer line and if you would like just the color a shaded natural lip liner can be also applied for variance. Having your lips done makes the face look polished and complete.

Any Color can be applied for your permanent makeup but we recommend you go with the trusty color that you apply frequently.

Pre-Treatment

There are only a few things that we ask you do before your appointment: We like for you to take a antihistamine to help with the healing process and help with any swelling that may begin with any of the treatments. Come with a clean face and if you wear contacts please do not have them in, you will need to wear your glasses to the appointment or take them out upon arrival. Bring your makeup pencil for your eyeliner or eyebrows and your lip color so we can color match. It is not advised that you have any procedure done if you are going to the beach or an important function. We recommend you give yourself a few weeks to heal completely.

Post Treatment

You will be advised to use only vaseline for the remainder of two weeks following your permanent makeup procedure. Makeup can be worn 48 hours after initial procedure. You will be red and a little swollen and therefore will require some ice on and off for the first day of the procedure. Peas (frozen) are wonderful for this as they conform to the area needing to be cooled. The area will be a soft scab and will roll off as you add vaseline with a q tip, please do not pick on this as it will take your color out and a touch up will then be needed. Its best to not use aerosol sprays in or around the area that was treated while it is healing.

Other Information

Touch ups will be required to adjust or add any lighter areas. If you have had previous permanent makeup by someone else, this is essentially a new procedure for me and will charged a new client price.

Healing time is about 2 weeks to a 30 days.

Deposit: there will need to be a deposit made to make the appointment time slot and I will need a weeks notice for cancellation for refund of deposit. If a cancellation is not made in this time frame, the deposit will be forfeited. If another appointment is wanted another deposit will need to made.
